The Social Security Boys
Welcome Visitors!
    • Just letting the Social Security Boys know that your presentation at the Senior Citizens Valentine Celebration at the Scotts Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, February 12th, was OUTSTANDING. The "BUZZ" about the concert is still in the air, and we are with great hopes that we get the opportunity to have you return to Scotts Hill later this year. Very enjoyable guys.....

    • Vern, Cecil and James. Really looking forward to guys visiting Scotts Hill Baptist Church for the Senior Citizen Valentine's Celebration on February 12th. Have been doing my very best to spread the word that THE SOCIAL SECURITY BOYS are coming to Scotts Hill. See you then, and really looking forward to renewing my acquaintance with a very old friend, Vern Sullivan. Sincerely

      Bob

    • I really enjoyed listening to your latest C.D. I know it is sure to bless the hearts and lives of people all over the world. The only thing it lacks are the talents of a world class bass singer like me. HA! Still waiting in the wings! I LOVE YOU GUYS! Cecil and James... try to keep my dad in line...if thats possible! See you soon!

    • Hey James: Been thinking of Stamps Baxter '09 and remembered singing with you in Jack's class. Didn't get to go this year but remembered you were very kind and helpful. Enjoying the Social Security Boys music especially the "Mills Bros."

      God Bless all of you.

    • HEY JAMES, IT WAS A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU TODAY AND I ENJOYED THE CD. I KNOW YOU ARE ON YOR WAY TO FLORIDA FOR THE WEEK-END. HOPE YOUR LUNCH AT PERCY FLOWERS GRILL WAS GOOD. HAVE A SAFE TRIP AND I WILL GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU SOON

    • Greetings SS Boys, I found your website on Gospel Gigs and have thoroughly enjoyed visiting with you. You have a wonderful sound and the harmony is impeccable. It's great to find seniors singing for the LORD and traveling spreading the gospel all over the country. Hope you find your way here or near by some day. You would make a great hit at the Grand Ole Gospel near Chocowinity, N. C. just up the road a ways. God bless you all and Merry Christmas. Shirley aka Shy

    • Found your group by accident when I was looking up information on the, you guessed it, The Lone Star Quartet. I grew up in northeast Texas, attended the Stamps Quartet School of Music in Dallas, grew up in singing schools, singing conventions, etc. I've known Jack Taylor for years and remember Burt Carroll when he sang with the Stamps-Baxter male quartet in Dallas.

Love your singing and would love for you to come our way for concerts. Texas southern gospel music fans would welcome your group with great appreciation and enthusiasm.

    • To whom this might concern I am asking if your group will be coming to the Dallas Fort Worth, Texas area anytime in the near future?? If you do come this way I am looking forward to hearing you in person. I have taken a liking to your music style as I listen to KKGM 1600 AM Dallas TX while driving my truck around the multiplex delivering containers. Also if you come to the area please contact my friend PAUL HUGHES at KKGM radio for an interview. This is something he likes to do when he can get a group in the station. Just to let you know Your song "16 Words on a wall" (Sixteen Words of Wisdom" is the song that gets played down here. Best of luck in your travels.

    • Saw the SSboys on goldsboro Gospel WHFL The Jennings program, Im 64 and a SSOldie, also Sing, choir & Solo, a Baritone, you Men are great, enjoyed the Singing.

    • Thoughts and prayers with Vern, Cecil and James and families during this Christmas season. May you find 2009 generously productive and prosperous according to God's will.

In His love, Bill & Alice
